Author s signature and greeting on front endpaper, To Sister Margaret with happy memories. Robert Milne. Light foxing to edges and small stain on rear cover otherwise good clean copy. The author was Medical Officer of Dr. Barnardo s Hospitals and Homes for thirty years and recommended carbolic oil and eucalyptus oil as remedies to contain the spread of the scarlet fever infection.

Gilt dull on spine and spine a little shaky and cockled, bottom hinge tender but otherwise good condition. Bradshaw s popular railway guides were first published in 1839 and came out annually until 1961.

An account of the unsuccessful first night is included in the Dedication to John Rich, esq. Modern patterned paper-covered soft boards, some browning and spotting throughout, small tear at top of p.9 with no loss, faint pencil marks on rear blanks.

No Binding. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. 4to. Pp 4. Four-page publication of the decree of the National Assembly of 30 December 1791, a little folding to corners, but in good bright condition, published at Grenoble.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Date from Copac,16mo., 169pp., Original blue decorated cloth (i.e. the 6d issue), edges coloured red, worn to corners, and faded on rear board. Somewhat browned throughout, but all pages intact, including the ads to rear. A rather rare ephemeral item in reasonable condition.

Full of fascinating facts and instruction on home management, beauty, mothercraft, holidays, gardening, fortune-telling and much more. Interesting insight into women's roles at that time.

A beautiful reproduction of one of the classic accounts of migraine and its attendant causes. Would make a very nice present for a medical professional.
